Within the framework of the ECAMPUZ β European World Talent Camp for Uzbekistan Scientists in Food Science and Technology (ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE) project, co-funded by the European Union, the international scientific-technical conference “The First Silk Road Conference on Food Science & Foodomics” was held on 3-5 November, 2025, in the city of Bukhara.
The event was attended by 9 distinguished foreign scientists and professors from universities in Spain, Denmark, and Germany, as well as young Uzbek researchers, professors, students, and representatives of the food industry in Uzbekistan.

The first day of the conference was dedicated to strengthening cooperation between representatives of the Uzbek food industry and leading scientists, experts, professors, young researchers, and students working in Uzbekistan and the European Union.
The event began with an exhibition of various food industry enterprises of Uzbekistan, where company representatives showcased their food products, provided information about their production, and introduced training and employment opportunities for young professionals.
At the end of the day, within the ECAMPUZ project’s train-the-trainer program, Uzbek young scientists, lecturers, and PhD candidates who completed up to three months of training at the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) and the University of Extremadura (Spain) presented the βCluster of Advanced Topics in Food Science and Technologyβ, developed for employees of local food enterprises.
