“ECAMPUZ – European World Talent Camp for Uzbekistan Scientists in Food Science and Technology – ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE,” co-funded by the European Union.
The opening ceremony of the C.A.T. Science Accelerator program was held on September 4, 2024, at the Center for Advanced Technologies.
Shakhlo Turdikulova, the Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, delivered a welcome speech to the program participants, highlighting the importance of start-ups for implementing innovative ideas in Uzbekistan. She also mentioned the successes of previous C.A.T. Science Accelerator programs since its establishment in 2018 at the Center for Advanced Technologies.
Dilbar Dalimova, the Deputy Director of the Center for Advanced Technologies, welcomed the guests of the opening ceremony and congratulated the participants of the C.A.T. Science Accelerator program for being chosen among hundreds of applicants from across Uzbekistan.
The participants had the opportunity to meet their mentors in person. The mentors provided further information regarding key points of the program, the development and improvement of the project by teams throughout the program period leading up to the Demo Day, as well as additional details about the Demo Day itself.
Participants were introduced to the accelerator’s rules.
An interactive session was also held, where teams had the opportunity to briefly present their projects and get to know each other.
The ECAMPUZ project manager shared insights about the project, including its aims, objectives, and upcoming activities.
