Within the project “ECAMPUZ European World Talent Camp for Uzbekistan Scientists in Food Science and Technology ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE”, co-funded by the European Union, a two-week educational training CAMP 1 is being conducted from September 18 to September 30, 2023 among 26 undergraduates, graduate and PhD students from 5 Republican universities of project partners:

Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, Bukhara Engineering and Technology Institute, Andijan State University and Urgench State University.

On September 27-28, students were trained in the Center for Advanced Technologies by the Professors and teachers from the University of Copenhagen.

UCPH team introduced advanced knowledge, innovative technologies and methods of analysis in the field of food science to Uzbek students.

The ECAMPUZ project CAMP 1 team organized a visit to a leading brewery plant in Uzbekistan “UzCarlsberg” where the CAMP 1 participants saw the modern technological line of producing beer, from the raw material to the ready product.

CAMP 1 finished with a mini-conference in which the groups presented their innovative solutions to the problems in a plenary session in the CAT on 29th September 2023. Teams demonstrated their presentations and received general feedback from the EU trainers to work on their final report, which is to be presented by December 31st 2023.
