Within the project “ECAMPUZ European World Talent Camp for Uzbekistan Scientists in Food Science and Technology ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE”, co-funded by the European Union , a two-week educational training CAMP 1 was conducted from September 18 to September 30, 2023 among 26 undergraduate, graduate and PhD students 👩🏻🔬🧑🔬🧑🏻🎓👩🎓 from 5 Republican universities of project partners:
Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, Bukhara Engineering and Technology Institute, Andijan State University and Urgench State University.
Topic: Academic food science upgrade and primary food production
Subjects covered: Food chemistry, molecular gastronomy and food analytics

Students from 8 team groups devoted time during specific supervised sessions during the CAMP and in the spare time after classes to address the problems around the assigned food challenge.
The final outcome was a group presentation of each of 8 teams on September 29, 2023, the last day of the CAMP. Each challenge team was given 15 minutes for their presentation and 5 minutes for questions and feedback from the EU trainers. The challenge teams demonstrated their presentations.
The final outcome was a final written report that was handed to CAMP-1 EU tutors before December 31, 2023.
