For the first time in Uzbekistan, the Delegation of the European Union to Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the National Erasmus+ Office, hosted a special networking reception for Erasmus+ programme participants. The event took place on 27 June 2025 at the residence of the EU Ambassador to Uzbekistan, H.E. Mr. Toivo Klaar.
The reception brought together over 80 attendees, including Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree awardees, International Credit Mobility (ICM) participants, Jean Monnet and Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) project members, as well as university representatives from across the country. All were united by a shared commitment to fostering international cooperation in higher education.
The evening served as a vibrant platform to:
- Forge new connections across the Erasmus+ community,
- Celebrate the achievements of Uzbekistan’s rising academic leaders,
- Encourage open dialogue among alumni, active participants, and higher education professionals.
This first-of-its-kind gathering in Uzbekistan underscored the growing role of Erasmus+ in advancing academic excellence, international mobility, and intercultural understanding. The event reflected the strong and evolving partnership between the European Union and Uzbekistan in the field of education.
Representatives of the ECAMPUZ project, participants of “train-the-trainer” program as well “CAMP 2 training” and “CAMP 3 training” programs participants also took part in the Reception for Erasmus+ Participants. During the event “Train-the-trainer” program participants shared their experience of 3-months training at the EU HEIs (University of Copenhagen and University of Extremadura), while CAMPs students described their experince of intensive two-weeks trainings conducted by the EU trainers of the project.
